Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, email program, text-messaging program, and related online properties of Alaska Values PAC (collectively, the “Site”), together with our Privacy & Cookies Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site.

01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Site. We may modify these Terms as provided in Section 11.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Site, and by using it you represent that you are. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your use of the Site.

03 Permitted Use and Restrictions

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit any portion of the Site or its content, other than your own information;
• Employ bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access or collect data from the Site;
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site, or breach or circumvent any security measure;
• Access non-public areas or systems, or interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure;
• Transmit malware or engage in spamming, flooding, or similar activity;
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation; or
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these restrictions.

04 SMS/Text Message Terms

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Alaska Values PAC at the number provided. Message frequency may vary; message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any contribution. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

05 User Submissions

If you submit content — including comments, petition signatures, or other materials — you represent that you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in furtherance of our activities, including public disclosure of petition content. Do not submit unlawful, false, or infringing material.

06 Intellectual Property

The Site and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, and the Alaska Values PAC name and marks — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

07 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

08 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Alaska Values PAC or its officers, staff, volunteers, or vendors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Site. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

09 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alaska Values PAC and its representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

10 Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Anchorage, Alaska, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11 Modifications to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and revising the “Last updated” date. Changes take effect upon posting, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.

12 Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including a violation of these Terms or conduct we believe may harm the Committee, other users, or third parties.
